Chai Tea (Masala Chai)
Black tea, (Assam CTC BOP), cardamom kernels, cinnamon pieces, ginger pieces, clove, green cardamom and black pepper.
This Masala Chai makes a spicy impression with its black tea from India and Rwanda and goes perfectly together with steamed milk as the perfect tea latte, or as the classical Chai Tea. It is also excellent by itself brewed "straight" - just with water. The word "Chai" means tea in many languages. The classical combination of black tea, spices and sugar is boiled, strained, and then blended with warm milk. The result is a sweet and full-bodied beverage with a spicy taste. Highly recommended by our Chai enthusiasts.
Steeping guidelines: Use only fresh cold water. 1 tsp tea/cup + 1 for the pot. If using a clam-shell infuser barely fill one of the halves. Use almost boiling water or milk. Steep time 3 - 4 minutes. If tea is too strong or too weak adjust the steeping time, not the amount tea.
