Hi! Welcome to our tea shop! Please come on in and take a look around. We have been selling fine teas in our retail shop Paraffine for 16 years now. Over the recent years we have been selling an increasing amount of tea, to locals who have gotten to know this tea and consistently return for more, as well as to visitors who come into the shop, buy this tea, fall in love with it and want more. But many of them live far away - the USA is a big country! And of course they would like to be able order on-line. Which is completely reasonable. As a result we decided it is about time for us to open an on-line tea shop. So here we are!
Our teas are all natural, highest quality loose leaf teas from two highly regarded tea blenders in Scandinavia. Some of the tea is organic (EU ecological certification) and/or Fair Trade. It is always smooth, clean tasting and flavorfull. You will find steeping guide- lines in the individual teas' sections. When you tryour teas you will also discover that due to the high quality of the tea, a little goes a long way. We typically have about 50 teas on hand; original, flavored tea, herbal, caffeinated and caffeine free.
The tea is double packaged with a sealed inner bag. Weight of each package is 3.75oz, except for a few of the herbal teas that are more "fluffy", take up more space, and consequently weigh slightly less. This is so noted in the description of those teas.
These are our blenders:
Sir Roberts Tea of Helsinki, Finland has been in business for six generations, and also have number of tea and coffee shops in Finland and Sweden.
Kahls Tea of Göteborg, Sweden is a family owned company that has been in business for 110 years. Their tea sells in many locations in Sweden.
Both blenders are highly regarded by discerning tea drinkers with high expectations, and the longevity of both companies speaks for itself!
You might wonder why get tea from Sweden and Finland? Aren't Scandinavians fanatic coffee drinkers? Well, the truth is many are, but many are also tea drinkers. And many know what a good tea should taste like. And they like and know about many different teas. For many generations back. So there is a history of blending and selling high quality teas there. (Of course the tea can't grow there, it's too cold! But the tea blenders travel worldwide to the tea auctions and other sources in countries that do grow teas to purchase their tea.)
